see that little red gelert under 'cuties', at the right? he contains a special link that leads to neopets. why is it special? because if you use that link and sign up to neopets, i get referal points for bringing you there!

i doubt that's much of an incentive for any of you to actually sign up, so i'm placing an offer of 100 np (neopet currency) to anyone who signs up using that link. all you have to do is leave your username on the tagboard or at the comments section of this entry.

now don't try being cheeky and leave your username there if you were already a user of neopets way before. this is only for the people who actually use my link. many thankies!

after weeks and weeks of planning designs, experimenting colors, dissecting stores of codes, and putting them all together, i've finally come up with coffee-flower!

the timing for it was pure luck. i'm usually very bad at prioritizing, and as a result i hardly get things done as early as i'd like. however, since we didn't have any homework yesterday (except my kumon, which i didn't do. level F's giving me mental blocks), i managed to get the PC from mitch and work on the layout's design and coding. it took at least a couple of hours, but then i figured out the way the tables worked and such ^^ all it took was for me to add borders to tell which tables were which! those div codes were annoying, but in the end... they just had to do what i wanted them to.

i also made and finished the header last night, to my amazement. these things usually take much longer. for instance, it took even longer to make than that darn background--

*stops, then takes bea off lap*

--ooww... now my foot's asleep... oh, by the way, we think bea's pregnant ^_^ she's becoming peckish, and, if possible, much larger and heavier. she wouldn't stop clawing my hand unless i put her on my lap. now she's just dozing off the bed...

anyway, the layout's called coffee-flower because of the colors i used, mainly shades of pink, tan and brown. once i looked at the finished images, coffee and flowers were the first things i thought of. i don't drink coffee, but i like flowers.

icons are made by me too, and i promise, they'll get better. i've just started to warm up to photoshop elements, and combined with arcsoft photostudio they're quite manageable by my simple standards.

all the coding's done by me, from all those bits and pieces of useful html codes i've collected from the net. i didn't copy/paste anything as a whole, only using them for guides.

entry format's made by jei-nee-san, with a little modifications from me to suit the theme. it is to her that i am eternally grateful, because it was her own coding that guided me the most. thank you jei!!

now, there's only one glitch i haven't been able to fix... i have no idea why the links are so damn small, nor do i know how to make them follow the size of the body text ^^

last summer, while battling the forces of boredom, i managed to put onto paper some ideas i had about a comic. it stemmed from furuba, started revolving around some characters i already had, then bam! out of nowhere came this notion of actually posting those comics online...

and now, after nearly 4 months of planning (due to my bad luck with madam priority), i've finished Jyunishi Tales. it's an online newsletter that sends comics, pics, and other stuff centering on the comic, which also has the curse of the chinese zodiac integrated into the characters, except in a more outright, obvious, and overall cute way.

if you wanna subscribe, look to your right. the newsletter option's there. now, since third year can shell out enough work to give me hernias, i can't assure a comic every month, much less every week. so whenever i get the chance, you'd see a comic in your inbox.

note: i don't intend to make this comic as serious as the original kinda was. if you'd look at the comic, you'd probably understand why.

see, it's kinda hard to manipulate a serious atmosphere when your cast has animal parts and markings. 'cept supiro, but he's only one guy. there are 12 more.

also, i'm in desperate need of ideas. summer has long since ended and any sparks i used to have burned down to flickers. if you have any nice, funny, awkward, or any ideas at all, i'd be happy to listen.

i've known this site since 6th grade, and back then it was cool. now that i've started coming back, i'm getting hooked. again. maybe its because of all those competitions... i admit i'm into those... the feeling is just great, especially if you win ^^

and there're lots of comps that involve drawing AND writing. my two favorite things. could that get any better? there's also webdesigning, games, and even a stockmarket.

wanna see my pet?

don't I look huggable?

Andurilin the Gelert
